Polyamide
Consists of a type of polymer with “amide” type bonds, a type of organic compound. Polyamides can be found in nature, such as wool or silk, and can also be synthetic, such as nylon. Polyamide fibers are strong and lightweight, absorbent and resilient. They are soft to the touch and do not cause allergies. They are also easily recycled; a variety of recycled polyamides can be found in our catalog.

Recycled nylon and Econyl® Nylon
Nylon is a type of polyamide and was a revolution for the textile industry due to its resistance and elasticity, being today one of the most produced fabrics in the world. Unfortunately, virgin nylon is technically a plastic, and often ends up discarded in the oceans. Recycled nylon is a good alternative to this versatile but polluting material, as it does not require petroleum for its production, consumes less energy, emits less greenhouse gases than virgin nylon and can be recycled again.

Econyl® Nylon, a 100% recycled yarn made from nylon waste by Aquafil, has become one of the most popular types of recycled nylon.
It is perfectly suited to textile circularity models as it can be regenerated unlimitedly without compromising its quality. In addition, it helps to reduce waste in landfills and oceans, as carpets, old fishing nets and industrial plastic are processed from waste to new products with added sustainability value.

Polyester
Polyester is the most widely produced and used synthetic fiber in the world due to its durability and strength, and is manufactured from petroleum or natural gas derivatives. Continuous advances in the industry have contributed to the creation of polyester fabrics that mimic both the texture and feel of natural fibers. It is an economical but quality material that does not wrinkle, stretch or shrink. It is easy to wash and dries quickly, is lightweight and easy to work with, and is highly resistant to moisture, UV rays, chemicals, abrasions and high temperatures.
